I can't connect to my camera anymore when outside the local network. Did the company stop to exist and if so: can I give the camera a different HTTP address so I can connect again but bypassing the watch-bot servers?

You have to check the port forwarded through your router because in 99 % of the cases, there is problem with the network configuration. I also recommend checking the configuration and the IPs of the cameras because if they're changed due to power failure or network reset, additional forwarding needs to be configured as well.
